Hey Everybody,

I’ve been working hard these past couple of weeks and I’m almost ready to launch the new version of WorkMelon. This will happen within about a week and a half. This new version will allow me to make changes much more rapidly than in the past. There are two major changes that you’ll notice.

1. Complete interface overhaul. Now Workmelon will look and work great on any device, be it a PC a smartphone or a tablet.
2. For those who use workmelon, the whole part of calculating hours for payroll has become much easier.

There is one thing I do need your help with, though. With this release, I’m switching database systems. The new system will be much easier to backup. The drawback to this switchover is that all passwords are going to need to be reset. There are two ways we can do this.

1. WorkMelon automatically generates new passwords for everybody and sends them each an email with his or her new password.
2. Every user that needs to log in will need to use the “forgotten password” reset function. The advantage to this is that you know when the email is coming, so you can make sure it doesn’t get wshed away with the spam.

I just need you to tell me which way you would prefer. Whichever way the majority wants, I’ll do. Just leave a comment here, or use the contact page on the website. I’ll also be updating the blog more regularly.

I will email everybody before the switchover, just as a reminder.
